Cover design for the 2010 Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps percussion book, published by Tapspace. This book was purchased by all potential members who wanted to learn the music and techniques in order to audition for “America’s Corps”. This project proved challenging as the ensemble has a deep connection to its Western roots, yet the book needed to reflect a fresh approach of contemporary drumming. This artwork combines a variety of techniques and mediums such as hand drawn sketches, photography, scanned textures, graphics, and typography.
